In the movie Everest, we see the ultimate adventurers, some just average people, but with an incredible determination to do the impossible, to climb to the top of the world against insurmountable odds, including one of the fiercest blizzards ever to hit the Himalayas.

In this, our third issue of Oceans and Sky, we look at the extraordinary accomplishments of someone seemingly ordinary who tested the limits of human endurance and the human spirit by pushing oneself to the furthest limits of the Earth. We talk with Chung Kin-man, the first Hong Konger to climb the highest peak on all seven continents and to reach both the North and South Poles on foot. He shares his formula for success – read the story to find out what allowed him to reach and even surpass his limits.

As we saw COP21 talks draw to a positive conclusion, we can’t help but reflect on, in “The Numbers”, what we have learned and what remains to be done.

With best wishes for a green and hopeful 2016.
