Friends of MoCC are now cordially invited to join the 2nd BEC X NESS Green Jobs Fair 2024 on 24 January 2024. Following the success of the first-ever BEC X NESS Green Jobs Fair last April, the second Green Jobs Fair with Business Environment Council (BEC) will be held on 24 January 2024 (Wednesday) from 10:00 am to 5:45 pm at BEC Auditorium and Exhibition Hall. Realising the current communication and expectation gaps in the emerging green job market, the Green Jobs Fair brings together companies, universities, students, and government officials to initiate a four-way discussion, and to address the current knowledge and skill gap in the Hong Kong green job market. The one-day event will include panel discussions, workshops, free networking sessions, 15+ green job booths (e.g. The Hong Kong Jockey Club, MTR, HK Electric…etc.), and multi-stakeholder dialogue with the government. Students and job seekers can connect with potential employers for prospective green jobs and sustainability programs, and gain insights on the variety of green jobs in the market. With 150+ attendees, the event will be a great platform for both sustainability and non-sustainability students to develop a general overview of the current green job market and companies’ expectations, network with business representatives for career development and guidance, and acquire a better understanding of the required skillset and experiences to enter or transition to the green job market.
