MoCC Ambassadors Travel Grant
Since 2024, the MoCC has introduced the MoCC Ambassadors Travel Grant to empower outstanding MoCC Ambassadors to broaden their horizons and global perspectives by participating in premier international events.

The MoCC Ambassadors Travel Grant sponsored two students (Felix Chan and Carmen Cheng) to attend and speak at the Times Higher Education Global Sustainable Development Congress held in June 2024 in Bangkok. Another two students (Katy Dong and Chan Myae Yamon Thwin) took part in the 29th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the supervision of the mentor, Professor Amos Tai, Deputy Chairperson (Education) of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Eligibility
Applications are open exclusively to active MoCC Ambassadors.
Terms of the Award:
To be eligible to receive the grant, the awardee must:
- Successfully pass all the MoCC Ambassador assessments.
- Lead a minimum of 10 tours.
- Contribute to the MoCC through other non-touring activities.
Post-conference Commitments:
Upon return, the awardee will be expected to:
- Develop at least three social media posts on the MoCC’s platform sharing their conference experience.
- Organize and lead at least one workshop or seminar to share key learnings.
- Opportunities to represent the MoCC in media interviews or at relevant conferences in Hong Kong.
- Assist in curating a themed exhibition related to conference and climate change policies.
