The UN SDSN’s flagship educational initiative SDG Academy is launching the ‘Book Club with Jeffrey Sachs’ initiative, featuring monthly live conversations with renowned authors about ground-breaking work that examines the most important topics for humanity, including sustainable development, social justice, and more.

This episode of Book Club with Jeffrey Sachs looks into the book Gambling with Armageddon by Martin Sherwin!  Professor Jeffrey Sachs and the author take on a new perspective to re-exam the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the convincing case for international cooperation with an aim to prevent the rise of nuclear war.
