[SDG Forum Series 2021-22] Plastic Free: Are We There Yet? — Impacts of Plastic Waste

Plastics have transformed our lives.  Our reliance on them has reached a point of almost no return.  They are just everywhere, and evidently a huge burden to society, nature and public health.  Join us for a conversation with Prof. Martin Tsui and Mr Edwin Lau about plastic pollution, its impact on marine food web and practical ways to relieve the plastic pollution problem in Hong Kong.

Co-organized by CUHK’s Office of University General Education and the Hong Kong Chapter of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Hong Kong), this SDG Forum is highly relevant to a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 14 (Life below Water) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

The forum will be conducted in Cantonese.  Admission is free.  All are welcome.  Please click here for details.
