SDG Forum Series S2 Landscape

[SDG Forum Series 2022-23] I buy, therefore I am? — Rethinking Consumption and Sustainable Development

Responsible and sustainable consumption has been a global concern. Of particular relevance is Hong Kong, which, as a densely populated city with limited natural resources, relies heavily on imported goods.  Join us for a conversation with Prof. Darwin Choi and Ms Maria Cheung about the patterns of sustainable consumption and their economic considerations, as well as the consumption behaviour of students.

Co-organized by CUHK’s Office of University General Education and the Hong Kong Chapter of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Hong Kong), this SDG Forum is highly relevant to a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The forum will be conducted in Cantonese.  Admission is free.  All are welcome.  Please click here for details.
