Join renowned economist Professor Jeffrey Sachs and bestselling science fiction author Dr Kim Stanley Robinson for a thought-provoking conversation on climate change and its impact.  They will discussion Robinson’s recent books ‘The Ministry for the Future’ and ‘New York 2140’ which explore how climate change may affect society in the near future.

Together, they explore climate change as an existential threat and the upheavals the climate crisis may cause. What happens if we cross the planetary boundaries?  Could sea levels rise to catastrophic heights, submerging lower Manhattan and other coastal cities?  Would nations undertake unilateral geoengineering and even climate terrorism?  How and when can UN member states work together to address this global challenge?
