Discover the hidden treasures of our coastal waters in the eye-opening documentary City of Shells: Our Forgotten Oyster Reefs. This one-hour documentary, filmed over three years, chronicles over seven years of ongoing research and conservation work across Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta. It highlights the ecological importance of oyster reefs, and the journey of the scientists that are fighting to restore them.

A 30-minute post-screening sharing and discussion features Mike Sakas (Producer & Director), Marine Thomas (Associate Director of Conservation, TNC) Professor Luo Haiwei (Director, Marine Science Laboratory, CUHK), Professor Bayden Russell (Associate Professor, SWIMS, HKU) and Dr. Adam Janikowski (Director, ECHK) - sharing insights on reef restoration and the impact of these ecosystems on our environment.
